peggy’s cove

Peggy’s Cove is a lovely tiny fishing village that is about a 40 minute drive from Halifax. The area has a unique rocky, barren beauty and there is an iconic white and red lighthouse on the granite point at Peggy’s Cove.

For your touristy needs, there is a modern information centre, a few tiny shops, an ice cream shop, and a large gift shop/restaurant very close to the lighthouse and granite outcropping. The gift shop/restaurant has a few decent vegetarian options, including a veggie burger and pasta primavera.
