I definitely recommend visiting Tallinn, Estonia. The Old Town of Tallinn is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is amazingly well preserved. We loved wandering around and getting lost in the winding little cobblestone streets, surrounded by lovely 13th-17th century buildings. You can really imagine midieval life there. We even stayed in a fantastic hotel that was originally a 14th century merchant’s house (Viru Inn)!

And of course we found some great restaurants in Tallinn, too!

We had dinner at African Kitchen (located in Old Town at Uus 32/34). They had a large vegetarian selection, and we both enjoyed our meals.

Maitsev & Tervislik is a vegetarian restaurant just outside of Old Town, at Narva mnt 6. We had the lunch buffet there, and it was great! They also had a small bakery section which I was too full to sample after eating my delicious lunch. I believe they close at 6:00, so if you want to grab dinner there, it will have to be an early one.

We also had dinner at Maharaja, an Indian restaurant, which is right in the Town Hall Square in Old Town (Raekoja plats 13). Maharaja has lots of nice outdoor seating on the Town Hall Square, and the food is very good.
