sprouting onion

We neglected an onion for too long, and found that it had started to sprout. I consulted the internet about what to do with our sprouting onion and learned that while the onion might not be as tasty as it once was, it was basically growing a baby scallion and we could put it in water to help it grow. I made a little slideshow covering a 10 day period so you can watch our onion sprout grow (and our snow melt)!
